Nigerian veteran movie producer and director, Amayo Uzo Phillips was at the Wesani Filmmakers Masterclass, December 2023.He came alongside notable actor, Caz Chidiebere to take the next generation of filmmakers on the business of filmmaking and building a career.
The event, Wesani Filmmakers Masterclass was held at the Wesani HQ, Ikenegbu Owerri on the 18th of December, 2023 and had over 30 young and coming filmmakers in attendance.
Veteran director, Amayo took the filmmakers on his introduction to the Nollywood industry and it’s history. He also led them on on his challenges as an independent director, politics of filmmaking and monetizing the career.
Caz Chidiebere talked about his career as a filmmaker throwing light on his challenges coming into the industry and how he was able to get his breakthrough.

Caz Chidiebere is a famous Nollywood actor, movie director, producer, model and a musician popularly known as Cazman.
He is one of the most sorts after Nollywood movie director and actor in the south eastern part of Nigeria and that is because of his pedigree in the industry. He has directed and featured in over 180 Nollywood movies.
The Wesani Filmmakers Masterclass was put together by the Wesani team led by Izu Okafor.
